INTERNATIONAL REGISTRATION PLAN (IRP)-TRUCK TAGS
To travel out of your base state and your truck(s) has a gross weight of over 26000#, you must have apportioned (IRP)tags. North Carolina IRP tags are only issued in Raleigh or Charlotte.

RENEWALS- We can renew your IRP tags for ANY STATE. We would need a copy of your current 2290 and your renewal application for your tags. Please forward this paperwork to us as soon as you receive it from your base state. Our fee for this service is $60.00 After we have completed the application, the state will issue a bill for your tags.

ADD ON AND DELETIONS- We can add or delete vehicles for you at any time during the year. Our cost to complete the application is $40.00 plus the state fees.

FORM 2290- The IRS imposes a heavy vehicle tax for any truck over 55000 pounds. This tax is reported on Form 2290 which is sent to you in June of each year for the year July to June. The tax for each 80000 pound vehicle is $550 per year. They will prorate the fees if you put the truck on the road after July. Partial payment is no longer allowed. If you would like for us to complete the form for you, please mail the original form to our office. After we have received payment for the application and the vehicle tax due, we will take the form to NCDMV or IRS to get your paid receipt, then mail a copy to you and we will also keep a copy.
