CUSTOMERS & THEIR TRUCKS

CUSTOMERS PAGE #2

Trans Carolina celebrated 30 years in business in September of 2007.
We would like to thank all of our customers for keeping us in business.

The year 2009
was difficult for all of us in the Transportation business and 2010 is proving to be a challenging one as well.  Trans Carolina is dedicated to helping the trucker with his transportation needs to stay the course.  Things will get better and Trans Carolina will be there to help you through the tough times.

We hope you will enjoy the new website and visit often.  If you would like to see your truck displayed on our site, please send us a photo and we will be happy to "show off" your truck in the "CUSTOMERS and THEIR TRUCKS" section of our web site.

Interesting trivia from the year 1977

Trans Carolina started its first year in business. This was also the same year we heard "breaker, breaker 1-9; what's your handle?"  Yes folks, CB radios became a nation-wide obsession as grown men made up names and a special language.  Well, it was either that or swinging till dawn to the disco  craze.

Passenger service on the Concorde supersonic transport began between New York, Paris and London.

A drop in supermarket sales was blamed on the desire of Americans to eat out at restaurants.  But some were staying home to watch television.  Alex Haley's Roots drew 80 million viewers, the largest audience ever.  The mini-series lasted 8 nights and aired on ABC.  Other popular shows were Happy Days, Charlie's Angels, Laverne & Shirley, M*A*S*H, The Big Event and the ABC Sunday Night Movie.

Let us not forget the passing of Elvis,  Groucho and Bing.
